This page explains what Zodias collects when you use it, why, who else handles it, and how to have it deleted. It applies to zodias.app and the studio.
1What we collect
- Account: your name, email address and profile picture from Google or GitHub, and the ID of that account
- To sign you in and know which projects are yours.
- Sign-in sessions: a session token, the IP address and browser name used to sign in
- To keep you signed in (up to 30 days) and to spot sign-ins that aren't you.
- Project content: app details you enter, recordings, screenshots, logos, music, style references and your chat messages
- To plan and render your videos and to answer your requests.
- Output: scripts, voiceovers, videos, posters and captions Zodias makes
- So you can watch, compare and download every version.
- Usage records: which AI and rendering work each video used, and its estimated cost
- To run the service within budget and find problems.
2What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your data, and don't share it for advertising.
- We don't use advertising or analytics trackers. The only cookie is the sign-in session cookie.
- We don't post to your social accounts and don't ask for access to them.
- We don't use your content to promote Zodias or show it to other users without your written permission.
3Who processes it
To run the service, some data goes to these providers, who process it on our behalf:
- OpenAI (United States)
- Frames from your recordings, your app details and requests, to plan videos, review layouts and write scripts and captions; script text, to make the AI voice; audio, to transcribe it. OpenAI states that data sent through its API is not used to train its models.
- Amazon Web Services (Sydney, Australia for rendering)
- Hosting of the site, and rendering: the screens, logo and settings a video needs are copied to AWS to render it.
- Google and GitHub
- Only for signing in: they confirm who you are and send us your name, email and picture.
- Google Fonts
- The video preview in the studio loads the fonts a video uses from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address and browser when it does.
Blurring of names, emails and the terms you list runs on our own server; recordings are not sent elsewhere for that step. We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect people or the service from harm.
4Where it is stored
Your data is stored on our servers with Amazon Web Services, and processed in the United States (OpenAI) and Australia (rendering). These countries may have different data protection laws from yours. We use providers that apply security safeguards and process data only on our instructions.
5How long we keep it
- Project content and output: until you delete the project. Deleting a project from the studio removes its uploads, videos and messages from our server.
- Your account: until you ask us to delete it. We then delete your account, projects and sessions.
- Sign-in sessions: they expire 30 days after your last visit, or when you sign out.
- Providers keep data for their own limited periods under their terms; for example, OpenAI may keep API data for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring.
6Your rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012, and similar laws where you live, you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, get a copy, object to how it is used, or have it deleted. Email support@zodias.app from the address you sign in with, and we will reply within 30 days.
You can delete projects yourself in the studio at any time. If you think we have mishandled your data, you can also complain to the National Privacy Commission of the Philippines (privacy.gov.ph) or to the data protection authority where you live.
7Other people in your recordings
If your recordings show other people's names, messages or faces, you are responsible for having their permission. Add their names to “words to keep out” in the project details so Zodias blurs them, and check every frame before posting. If you are shown in someone's Zodias project and want it removed, email support@zodias.app.
8Security
The site is served over HTTPS. There are no passwords to leak: sign-in goes through Google or GitHub. Projects are visible only to the account that owns them. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
9Children
Zodias is not for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from children; if you believe a child has an account, email us and we will delete it.
10Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or who processes it, we will update this page and its date. For significant changes, we will tell you by email or in the studio first. See also the Terms of Service.
